Microsoft 365 plan

Microsoft 365 Business Standard Price UK (ex VAT)

Microsoft 365 Business Standard costs £8.83 per user per month ex VAT on an annual upfront term from Dead Simple 365, below Microsoft's current RRP. From 1 July 2026 our price is £9.94 versus Microsoft's £10.80. The licence lands in your own Microsoft tenant, there is no teaser price that jumps at renewal, and you buy online without a sales call.

Operated by Dead Simple Computing Ltd, a UK Microsoft 365 reseller. We resell the same Microsoft 365 Business licences through Microsoft's official partner channel, into a tenant you own.

Business Standard price at a glance

Here is the Microsoft 365 Business Standard price in the UK, per user per month, ex VAT.

  • £8.83 annual upfront (paid once for 12 months) until 30 June 2026
  • £9.94 annual upfront from 1 July 2026, when Microsoft's own list price rises
  • Monthly flexible costs about 20% more than the annual rate, in exchange for the ability to resize or cancel at each monthly renewal

For comparison, Microsoft's direct RRP is £9.60 today and £10.80 from 1 July 2026. Our annual price sits below Microsoft's list both before and after the rise, which is roughly 18% less than Microsoft direct from July. All prices are ex VAT and are for UK businesses (B2B only).

What Business Standard includes

Microsoft 365 Business Standard is the plan most small businesses actually use day to day. One licence per user covers:

  • Desktop Office apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook installed on PC and Mac
  • Exchange Online: business email with a 50 GB mailbox on your domain
  • Microsoft Teams: chat, calls and meetings
  • SharePoint and OneDrive: 1 TB of cloud storage per user for files and document collaboration
  • The web and mobile versions of the Office apps as well as the desktop ones

If you need built-in security (Defender for Business, Intune device management and conditional access), that is Business Premium, not Standard. We sell Premium through the same online checkout, which most UK resellers do not. See the Standard vs Premium guide below to decide which one fits.

Annual upfront versus monthly flexible

We sell Business Standard on two terms, and only two.

Annual upfront is the headline price at £8.83 ex VAT per user per month, paid once for the 12 month term. It is the lower of the two prices and it fixes your rate for a year, which matters with Microsoft raising list prices on 1 July 2026.

Monthly flexible costs about 20% more per user per month. In return you can add seats, reduce seats or cancel at each monthly renewal, with your exposure capped at roughly one month.

Annual billed monthly is not offered. Some providers let you commit to a year but spread the payment monthly. We do not, because a mid-term default would leave us liable to the upstream distributor for the rest of the term, and Microsoft applies a billing premium to that option anyway. We would rather state this plainly than bury it.

No teaser price that jumps at renewal

There is no teaser price that jumps at renewal. There is no introductory rate that jumps after the first term, and no loyalty penalty for staying.

This is the main difference between us and the domain and hosting incumbents. IONOS advertises a £1 introductory rate then renews at £13.50. 123 Reg starts at £7.99 and renews at £13.99. GoDaddy renews at £15.99. Those are all per user per month ex VAT, and all higher than our £8.83.

If Microsoft changes its list price we tell you before renewal and pass through the real change, as it is doing on 1 July 2026. Even then we stay below Microsoft direct, moving from £8.83 to £9.94 while Microsoft goes from £9.60 to £10.80. You can budget against our number because it does not change behind your back.

Your own tenant, bought online, ex VAT

When you buy Business Standard from Dead Simple 365, the licences are provisioned into your own Microsoft tenant, the Microsoft 365 organisation account where your users, mail and data live. We do not hold your tenant hostage in a provider-managed account. If you ever leave, you keep everything and simply attach a different reseller or go direct.

A few things to know before you buy:

  • B2B only. We sell to UK businesses, verified at checkout, not to consumers or sole traders wanting Family or Personal plans.
  • Ex VAT pricing. Every price on this page is ex VAT, with VAT shown clearly at checkout.
  • Microsoft's subscription rules apply to every reseller, including us. In plain English: there is a 7 day cancellation window with a prorated refund, no seat decreases mid-term (only inside that window or at renewal), upgrades and seat additions are allowed any time, and your price is fixed for the term. We mirror Microsoft's rules exactly so there are no surprises.

Common questions.

How much is Microsoft 365 Business Standard per user per month in the UK?

From Dead Simple 365 it is £8.83 per user per month ex VAT on an annual upfront term, below Microsoft's RRP of £9.60. From 1 July 2026 our price is £9.94 versus Microsoft's new list price of £10.80. Monthly flexible costs about 20% more than the annual rate.

Why is your price lower than Microsoft direct?

These are the same Microsoft licences bought through Microsoft's official partner channel. We run lean and share our distributor margin with you instead of spending it on introductory offers that triple at renewal. There is no different product and no catch, just a lower, fair price that holds.

Will my price go up at renewal?

No. There is no teaser price that jumps at renewal, and no introductory uplift. If Microsoft changes its list price we tell you before renewal and pass through the real change, such as on 1 July 2026, and even then we stay below Microsoft direct.

What is the difference between Business Standard and Business Premium?

Business Standard gives you the desktop Office apps, Exchange email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Business Premium adds built-in security: Defender for Business, Intune device management and conditional access. If security and device control matter, choose Premium. Our Standard vs Premium guide walks through the decision.

Can I reduce my number of seats during the year?

Microsoft's subscription rules apply to every reseller. Seat decreases are only possible within the 7 day cancellation window or at renewal, not mid-term. Adding seats and upgrading plans is allowed any time. We state this upfront rather than burying it in the terms.

Do I get my own Microsoft tenant?

Yes. Licences are provisioned into your own Microsoft tenant, the organisation account where your users, mail and data live. You are never locked into a provider-managed tenant, so you can leave any time and keep everything.
